100th Night
In my mind, my four years at the US Naval Academy has had a defining impression on me. As I remember, "100 Night" was when first class-men exchanged power positions with forth class-men (Plebes). The "100th Night" meant we who had been hazing (mildly abusing) plebes would allow the plebes to get back at us. But we couldn't let it happen just like that. Since we were released from evening meal before the plebes, my fellow first class men and I hurried to our company area, collected each plebe's two pairs of spit shined black shoes from their rooms and dumped them in a big pile at the end of the hall. It was a dirty trick, I admit, but plebes had to learn to expect the unexpected at any moment, especially from a real enemy.
Over the wall for a panty raid on the liberal women of Saint John's university. Imagine our surprise when we found the girls waiting at their windows waving perfumed panties with telephone numbers inside. Hopefully, some lucky midshipman found his soulmate from this innocent exercise. Remember, boys and girls have always found mysterious ways to communicate.
